2 lb round steak
2 Tbls oil
½ cup soy sauce
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbls minced garli
2 tsp. sugar
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp ground ginger
4 tomatoes, cut into eighths
2 large green onions, cut into strips
½ cup cold water*
1 Tbls. cornstarch*

Directions:
Directions:
Cut steak into strips and brown in oil. Transfer to a slow cooker. Combine soy sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper and ginger and stir into meat. Cook on low 3-4 hours (watch closely...it cooks quite fast). Add tomatoes and green peppers and cook 1 more hour. Combine cold water and cornstarch (*can double this if you prefer more "gravy"). Cook on high until thickened. Serve over hot rice.
