Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This was a special treat, usually on a Saturday evening. Dad would go to the store and get vanilla ice cream and mom would start the fudge (sauce). Mom would try and teach me every time how to test for soft ball stage using a glass of cold water and dripping a drop of the chocolate into it. How it formed was what stage it was. I still haven't caught on. I bought a candy thermometer. This fudge has a unique flavor. Sometimes now I will catch a taste of it and I am transported back to another time and place.
