1 1/2 c boiling water (or turkey broth)
1/2-3/4 c butter
1/2 c minced onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 T dried or prepared mustard
2 T diced celery
2 T dried or minced parsley
3 quarts (12 c) lightly packed bread cubes

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 9 ingredients and simmer approx. 5 minutes. Pour over bread crumbs and mix. This will stuff an eight pound turkey or chicken.

When I was hosting my first thanksgiving dinner I got this recipe from mom. Mine tasted much different then her ever did. She didn't tell me that she didn't use the poultry seasoning. I now use only half the amount called for.
