1 1/2 cups water divided
6 ounce package of Jell-O – raspberry, strawberry, orange etc.
12 ounce can evaporated milk (thoroughly chilled in freezer)

Play Scana be back rated milk in freezer before making the Jell-O. Bring one cup water to boil in small pack sauce pan. Stir in gelatin until completely dissolved then add remaining 1/2 cup water. Let cool slightly and then place in refrigerator to continue to chill. Just before Jell-O begins to set up, pour evaporated milk into large bowl. Whip until doubled in volume. While continuing to beat, slowly pour the cooled gelatin in. When all gelatin has been incorporated, add fruit-strawberries , mandarin oranges, marshmallows etc. Pour the mixture into smaller bowls or place in large serving bowl. Chill until set.
Note: May add drained oranges, fruit cocktail, chopped strawberries, raspberries or mini marshmallows to increase volume.

I made this a lot growing up in junior high and high school and had lost the recipe. My BFF served it at a salad luncheon and I got the recipe from her. This salad was served at Brixley's baptism dinner at Mt Calvary October 2016.
