1 tsp. soda
2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 tsp. cocoa
1 c. water
c. buttermilk
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, soda and sugar and set aside. Bring to a boil the butter, cocoa and water. When it boils, pour over the dry ingredients and add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until center springs back when touched. Frost with fudge icing. (Recipe follows).
 

FUDGE ICING

1 stick butter
4 tsp. cocoa
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to a boil butter, cocoa and buttermilk. Using a mixer, add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
