2 containers (8 oz each) candied fruits
2 cups raisins, chopped
3/4 cup port, sherry or Madeira
1-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2-1/2 tsp apple pie spice
6 T butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350º

Combine fruits, raisins and wine; cover. Let stand overnight.

Sift flour, soda and spice onto wax paper. Beat butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Stir in flour and fruit mixtures. Spread batter in a greased and floured 15x10x1" jelly roll pan.

Bake for 35 minutes. Cool on rack, cut into bars. Decorate as packages with prepared frosting.
