Seven Layer Salad Recipe

1 head shredded lettuce
1/2 C chopped celery
1/2 C chopped green pepper
1 red onion cut in rings
1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1 box frozen peas barely cooked and drained
1 pint mayonnaise
2 tsp sugar
1/3 cup parmesan cheese

1. Fill half of a bowl with shredded lettuce. Salt and pepper a little.

2. Layer next 7 ingredients in order.

3. Sprinkle sugar and cheese over the top of the mayonaise. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 8 hours.

4. Before serving, put cherry tomatoes in a ring around the bowl. Sprinkle inside of ring with 1/2 # bacon crumbles and 2 hard boiled eggs chopped fine.
