2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Make you own pastry for the pies or buy pre-made pie shells. (I like to pre-cook the pasty for about 7 minutes before filling them. That way the pastry doesn’t get soggy).

Peel apples and cut into large bite size pieces.
Mix apples, brown sugar and cinnamon together.
Let sit for a few minutes, then fill each pie shell with the apple mixture.

Mix flour and brown sugar together. Use pastry blender to cut in the butter.
Top each pie with butter mixture.

Bake 40 minutes.

"This is a great recipe for apple crisp as well; just without the pastry".
