4lb. mussels
1 onion large chopped
1 large clove of garlic chopped
1T. olive oil
1/2tsp. dried basil
1 8ox. tomato sauce
1lb. of your favorite pasta

Directions:
Directions:
Scrub and clean mussels. Steam in large pot with 1/2 inch water for 8-10 minutes. Shake pot half way through cooking.
Remove mussels from shell and place bowl on cup of their juice strained.
In large skillet saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic cook 2 minutes. Add basil, tomato sauce, 1/4 cup reserved mussel broth and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the pasta to the sauce. Gently toss with mussel and remaining broth, season to taste and serve.
