cup shortening
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour (plain)
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon Coconut flavoring
2 sticks margarine
5 medium or 6 small eggs
teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon Rum flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and milk alternately. Pour into greased pan.
Bake 1 hours at 325 degrees. While hot, pour the topping over the cake.

TOPPING:
2 cups sugar
cup plus 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon Almond flavoring

Boil sugar and water, take off stove and add flavoring, then pour over the cake.
