1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 loaf of French bread

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter, mayonnaise, cheese, onion and Worcestershire. Slice loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. Cut slices at 2 inch intervals but not quite through the bread. Spread cheese mixture over both halves of loaf. Place on aluminum foil and bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes until cheese begins to bubble or broil bread until cheese bubbles and browns.

Very good! For a Mexican Cheesy Bread, substitute Monterey Jack for the Cheddar and 3-4 drops Tabasco for the Worcestershire in the main recipe. Stir in 1/4 cup chopped green chiles and proceed with the recipe.
