1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine softened
2 tsp vanilla or 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp almond flavoring
1 egg
2-1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and egg, stir in flour and baking soda. Shape by teaspoon into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake 9 to 11 minutes until brown at 350º. Remove immediately.
