6 well beaten eggs
1 tsp salt
1/2 lb oleo or butter
1 cup sugar [add 1/2 cup more]
2 T vanilla
1 pint lukewarm water
3 dry yeast cakes (in 1/2 cup warm water) (let it stand 5 minutes)
About 10-12 cups flour

Preheat oven to 350º

Mix all ingredients together. Let rise about one hour. Braid it and put in greased pan. Let it rise again for 1 hour. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake at 350º for 30 minutes, then 300º for 15 minutes. [Bake 350º for 35 minutes in my oven.]
