German Chocolate Bars Recipe

1 package German Chocolate Cake Mix
3/4 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup melted butter
1 package of caramels (50)
1 - 12 ounce package of chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

1. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of milk and let cool.
2. Grease and flour 9" x 13" cake pan
3.In another bowl stir remaining milk, butter and cake mix together.
4. Stir nuts into batter
5. Pour 1/2 of batter into the cake pan.
6. Bake 6 minutes at 350
7. Spread chocolate chips over baked hot dough
8. Pour caramel mixture over chocolate chip layer
9. Pour remaining cake batter on top.
10. Bake 16-18 minutes longer.
11. Cool and cut into bars.
