1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tbl baking soda
1 cup cornflakes cereal, coarsely crushed
3/4 cup macadamia nut pieces (1 6 oz can)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

CREAM butter with sugar in a large bowl. Mix in vanilla

SEPARATE bowl, combine flour and baking soda.

GRADUALLY stir mixture into creamed butter and mix well until cookie dough is formed

CRUSH cornflakes cereal to measure one cup. Fold into cookie dough.

ADD the macadamia nut pieces.

ROLL into 1 inch balls

PLACE on lightly greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Slightly flatten into disks with finger or back of spoon.

BAKE for 9 - 12 minutes. Do not let them get brown or even golden, they'll continue cooking inside and then will look great but taste burnt.
