Chocolate Zucchini Cake Recipe

1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2-1/2 cups enriched all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp iodized salt
2 tsps baking soda
4 T cocoa
2 cups grated zucchini
1/2-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, butter and oil. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk; stir well to mix. Sift together all the dry ingredients and then sift into mixing bowl.

Grate the zucchini, skin and all, into the bowl and stir until blended.

Pour into greased, floured 13x9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle top with chocolate pieces and bake in preheated 325 oven for 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
