Oatmeal Caramel Bars Recipe

38 light carmels
6 Tbls. evaporated milk
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
cup brown sugar
tsp soda
tsp salt
cup butter
cup chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

Melt carmels and milk over low heat, stirring to make creamy.

Combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda, salt and butter until mixture is crumbly. Press half of the mixture into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts, then cover with carmel mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over top. Bake additional 15-20 minutes until browned. Cool slightly, then cut into bars while still warm.
