Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe

1 T gelatin
1/4 C cold water
1 C milk
2 sq. chocolate
2 eggs separated
3/4 C sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 C heavy cream

1. Mix water and gelatin.
2. Scald milk in a double boiler with chocolate; beat smooth.
3. Beat yolks with a fork; add 1/4 C sugar; add to chocolate and mix.
4. Cook 5 minutes until it coats a spoon.
5. Remove from heat and add gelatin and vanilla.
6. Beat egg whites until stiff and add remaining 1/2 C sugar.
7. Fold in chocolate mixture.
8. Whip cream until stiff and fold in.
9. Chill until set. Top with whip cream.
