Apple Pie Recipe

Pie Crust:

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
6 Tbsp. ice water

In a bowl add flour and salt, mix well. Cut in shortening. Add water a little at a time until a dough forms.
Chill for at least 30 minutes

6 apples
1 cup of sugar ( or to taste)
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 450

Mix all pie ingredients in a large bowl, let sit for 5-10 minutes.

Roll out 2 pie crusts one for the top and one for the bottom

Put pie ingredients in pie crust lined pan and dot with 3-4 pats of butter, put on top crust and make 3 slits in crust.

Bake 15 minutes at 450, then reduce to 350 for 45 minutes.
