2 C sifted cake flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C butter
1 1/2 C sugar
1 can poppy seed filling
1 C sour cream
4 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
4 egg whites stiffly beaten
Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour once. add soda and salt and sift again.

2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add poppy seed filling and blend. Add egg yolks one at a time and beat well after each addition.

3. Add vanilla and sour cream, blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients gradually beating until smooth after each addition.

4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

5. Pour into 10 inch tube pan and bake at 350 for about an hour or until tester comes out clean.

6. Remove from oven and allow to stand in pan for 5 minutes. Then remove and cool on wire rack.

7. Dust with powdered sugar or frost with any desired icing.
