½ cup shortening
1½ cup sugar
2½ cups flour
2½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1⅓ cup milk
Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add milk, shortening and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 minutes more. Pour into greased and floured pans. Makes one 9x13” or two 8” layers. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes.
