1 1/2 lbs 1 inch thick Round Steak or Sirloin
1/4 cup salad oil
1 cup water
1 medium onion cut into 1/4 inch slices
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon ginger
2 medium Green Peppers cut into 3/4 inch strips
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
2 or 3 teaspoons of sugar if desired
2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 medium tomatoes

Directions:
Trim any fat off of meat. cut into 2 x 1 x 1/4 inch strips. Heat oil in large skillet, add meat. Cook turning frequently until brown about 5 minutes. Stir in water, onion, garlic salt, & Ginger. Heat to boiling, cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes for round steak, 5 to 8 for sirloin. Add green pepper strips during last 5 minutes of simmering.
Blend Cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce. Stir into meat stirring constantly until mix thickens, Boil & stir 1 minute. Cut each tomato into 8ths. & place on meat mix cover & cook over lowheat just until tomatoes are heated through about 3 minutes.
