1 - 2 pounds round steak
cup all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoons shortening/fat or oil
1 teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon seasoned salt*
*( or use teaspoon celery salt, and teaspoon each of garlic salt and onion salt)
1 onion, sliced
1 cup water

Directions:

1. Dredge meat with flour and brown in hot fat over medium heat.
2. Sprinkle with seasonings.
3. Add onion slices and cup water.
4. Cover and simmer until tender, usually about 1 hours. Add second cup water during
cooking.
