Ingredients:
Basic Packet Recipe:
1/4 c. instant oats
pinch of salt
1/2. tsp. sugar (optional: you may choose to add none at all or add another sweetener like Splenda at your own discretion)

sealable baggies (these are re-usable)

Directions:
Directions:
Basic Packet Recipe:
In a sealable baggie, combine the instant oatmeal, salt and sweetener (optional).
Store packets in empty oatmeal canister or in your choice of container.

If you like thicker oatmeal, all you have to do is to puree some of the dry oatmeal in a blender. Put in about 1/4 c. instant oatmeal at a time; puree for about 10 seconds. You end up with oatmeal powder. Add about 1 T. of this powder to each baggie to make it thicker

Cooking instructions:
Empty packet in microwave safe bowl or container; add about 1/4 c. milk or water (your choice); microwave for approximately 60 seconds. Enjoy.

Recommend Packet Flavor Options:
1. Cinnamon Raisin: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 2 dz. raisins to each baggie.
2. Blueberry: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1 T. fat-free non-dairy Coffee Mate creamer and 1-1/2 dz. dried blueberries. (Powdered milk is not recommended as it tends to potentially mold and have other bad effect if left in baggies for too long. Coffee Mate is an excellent substitute.)
3. Mixed Berries n' Cream #1: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1 T. French Vanilla non-dairy creamer, sweetener and 18 berries.
4. Mixed Berries n' Cream #2: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1 T. Hazelnut non-dairy creamer, 1/2 tsp. brown sugar and 18 berries.
5. Chocolate Chip: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1 T. Hazelnut non-dairy creamer, 1/2 tsp. brown sugar and 18 chocolate chips.
6. Pineapple Chip: 1/4 c. instant oats, pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1 T. French Vanilla non-dairy creamer, 1/2 tsp. brown sugar, 8 chocolate chips and 1 piece diced dried pineapple,

Personal Notes:
You can basically make anything you want if you're making your own packets. Any dried fruit pieces, any seasonings you can find. Adding the ingredients yourself makes for tastier packets. Remember, the baggies are re-usable, which will cut down on your cost considerably.
