Directions:Basic Packet Recipe: In a sealable baggie, combine the instant oatmeal, salt and sweetener (optional). Store packets in empty oatmeal canister or in your choice of container.
If you like thicker oatmeal, all you have to do is to puree some of the dry oatmeal in a blender. Put in about 1/4 c. instant oatmeal at a time; puree for about 10 seconds. You end up with oatmeal powder. Add about 1 T. of this powder to each baggie to make it thicker
Cooking instructions: Empty packet in microwave safe bowl or container; add about 1/4 c. milk or water (your choice); microwave for approximately 60 seconds. Enjoy.

Notes: You can basically make anything you want if you're making your own packets. Any dried fruit pieces, any seasonings you can find. Adding the ingredients yourself makes for tastier packets. Remember, the baggies are re-usable, which will cut down on your cost considerably.
