Ingredients: COOKIES: 2½ cup all-purpose flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup sweet cream butter, softened 1 egg 1ts. baking powder 2 Tbsp. orange juice 1 Tbsp. vanilla
FROSTING: 4 cup confectioners' sugar ½ cup sweet cream butter, softened 3 to 4 Tbsp. milk 2 tsp. vanilla
Food coloring, Colored sugars, Flaked coconut, Cinnamon candies

Directions:In a 3 qt. mixer bowl combine all cookie ingredients. Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often until well blended. You may divide dough and color with food color. Cover and chill about 1 hour. Preheat Oven: 400º. Roll out dough, ½ at a time, on well-floured surface to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Place 1" apart onto cookie sheets sprayed with Pam© . Bake 400º oven for 6 to 10 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely. Spread or pipe frosting to decorate.
FROSTING: In 1½ qt. mixer bowl combine all frosting ingredients. Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until fluffy. You may want to seperate into bowls and add food color for variation. For fluffier frosting, use whipping cream instead of milk. |
