Ingredients:  
1 c. sugar
c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
1 tsp. almond extract
1 small pkg. slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients by hand until they're mixed but still course. Form into 2 long loafs about 4" by 16" on a cookie sheet that is lightly greased. Bake 30 minutes at 350. Cool slightly. Cut 1" pieces on a diagonal and put on their sides. Bake at 250 for 1 hour.
