1 c. chopped dates
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
Butter the size of an egg
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dates, water and soda. Let cool. Add sugar, salt, flour, butter and egg. Put in a greased loaf pan and bake for one hour at 325.
