1 cup chopped carrots
1 (9 oz) pkg frozen green beans
1 medium onion sliced
2 slices bacon
1 apple peeled, cored and sliced
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chopped carrots covered in a small amount boiling salted water until nearly tender - about 10 minutes. Add green beans and return to boiling. Cover and cook until vegetables are tender - about 5 minutes more. Drain.

In a skillet, fry bacon till crisp. Drain and reserve 1 tbsp grease. Crumble bacon and set aside. Cook sliced onion in reserved drippings till tender but not brown. Add apple, vinegar, sugar and salt. Cover and cook till apple is tender (3 - 4 minutes). Add cooked vegetables, heat through. Sprinkle with bacon.
