1 cup Lard
½ cup White Sugar
½ cup Brown Sugar
1 egg
1 tsp Vanilla

2½ cups Rolled Oats
1 cup Flour
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Baking Soda

1 cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl, mix the lard, white sugar and brown sugar together until well blended. Add egg and vanilla and work in.
In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, salt, and baking soda together. Add the dry mixture into the lard mixture and blend together. Add the chocolate chips to the mixture and blend. Mixture will appear to dry, but it isn't.
Drop, by a teaspoon, onto a cookie sheet, flatten slightly. Bake for 13-15 minutes in the preheated oven.
