Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 tablespoons molasses
1 cup shortening
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
pinch of salt
2-1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Roll into balls.
Dip in sugar.
Press down with fork or glass.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
