Ingredients:  
2 cups white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk (2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon to milk)
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons fresh orange rind

Glaze:
1/2 teaspoon orange rind
2 tablespoons orange juice
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and stir.
Add sour milk; stir and set aside.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Mix all together.
Drop on cookie sheet by teaspoons.
Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
Mix ingredients for glaze and ice cookies while hot.

This recipe is from Cindy Few. Her sister Mandy and I used to work together at PrimeVest Financial. We made a trip out to Pennsylvania to visit her family. Cindy made these delicious cookies while we were there. I loved them.
