"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
This recipe is from the Bayfield Bed and Breakfast in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Dad and I went up there when Carter was two. It was the first time we ever left him. He stayed with Phil and Debbie. The weather was awful and I cried and wanted to get home. We stayed for two nights. This was the best part of it. It was so good but I was REALLY excited to get home. Carter wasn't too excited to see us, he was having fun and didn't want to come home. When I was pregnant with Avery, I was really craving this. I emailed them and they sent me the recipe.
