2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 yellow onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic
3 c. water
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes OR tomato juice
2 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
3 bay leaves
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. seasoned salt
2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in dutch oven (or large deep oven proof pot), breaking up into small pieces.

2. Add onion, garlic and spices (except bay leaves) and saute for 5 minutes or until onion is soft and translucent.

3. Add water, tomatoes, bay leaves and stir until mixed well.

4. Cover and simmer on low for approximately 15-30 minutes.

5. Add cooked elbow macaroni, stir well, cover and simmer on low for 30 more minutes (stirring occasionally).

6. Remove from heat, leave covered and let sit for 3 minutes. Remove bay leaves.

7. Serve with good bread and salad.
