½ c. water
¼ tsp. salt
½ c. sugar
4 c. whole milk*
½ c. cocoa
¾ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer water, sugar, cocoa and salt in a sauce pan over moderate heat stirring until lumps are dissolved (about 3 minutes). Add milk, stir and bring slowly to a simmer(about 5 minutes- don't boil). Add vanilla just before serving. Makes 5 8 ounce servings.
*You can use 2 cups evaporated milk and 2 cups whole milk to make a richer chocolate milk.
