1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 c. minced onion
2 T. minces parsley
1 tsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt

In a bowl, blend cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
Add onion, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and salt; blend well.
Shape mixture into a ball; chill.
Serve with assorted crackers.

1. Harlequin Cheese Ball: add 2 T. finely diced pimiento, 1 tsp. prepared brown mustard and 1 clove crushed garlic to basic cheese mixture. Shape into ball; garnish with pimiento stars, if desired.
2. Fruit & Nut Cheese Ball: to basic cheese mixture add 1 (8-1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained, and 1/3 c. finely chopped nuts. Shape into a ball; roll in 1/3 c. finely chopped nuts. Chill.
