8 c. peeled, thinly sliced tart apples
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. granulated sugar
1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 dashes of salt
1 c. butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Butter a 9"x13" baking dish.

Place sliced apples in buttered 9"x13" baking dish.
Sprinkle orange juice over apples.
In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, spices and salt.
Add butter; cut in until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples.
Bake in 375º oven for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.
Serve warm with cream or scoop of ice cream.
