1 cup rice
2 cups water
¼ tsp salt
1 Tbls. butter
½ cup sgar
6 cups whole milk
Cinnamon & raisins for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan or double boiler, cook rice, water, salt, butter, sugar and milk over medium heat until liquid is absorbed, stirring constantly (this takes about 20 minutes). Working quickly, pour into decorative dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon into a diamond design on top. Place a raisin in the center of each diamond. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until cooled. Serve alone, or with cranberry sauce.

This is an old family recipe from Grandma Nelson. Grandma made it for every holiday and birthday for over 70 years! Once she was not longer able, I have carried on the tradition, making it for every Christmas.
