3 large onions
3 red chili peppers
2 C water
2 C white vinegar
2 t sugar
1 T Hawaiian salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peel onions, cut each one in half crosswise. Then cut each half into 8 sections. Cut chilies in half and remove seeds. Layer onions and chilies in jars. Mix all other ingredients until salt and sugar are dissolved. Pour mixture over the onions to fill each jar. Allow the onions to marinate at room temperature for at least 2 days then refrigerate.
