2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. minced onion
1 slice fresh white bread, crust removed
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb lean ground pork
1 large egg
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
pinch ground nutmeg
1 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup low sodium beef broth

Directions:

1. In large skillet, heat oil. Add onions and cook, stirring, until tender.

2. Meanwhile, in large bowl using an electric mixer, combine bread, with 1/2 cup water. Add meats, egg and seasonings. Beat on low setting until smooth. Add onions; beat on high setting until fluffy,3mins.

3 Using 1/2 oz ice cream scoop, form into small balls. Place meatballs in large skillet with oil. Cook meatballs over medium-high heat until browned on two sides. Remove meatballs with slotted spoon; place in bowl.

4.Using whisk, stir flour into skillet. Cook and stir for 1 min. Using whisk, stir in broth. Add meatballs. Cook on high and stir, scraping bottom of pan to release bits, until sauce is thickened and meatballs are cooked through, about 3 mins.
