4 tbsp. butter
½ tsp. grated lemon rind
1½ tbsp. lemon juice
4½ c. sifted powdered sugar
5 tbsp. water

Directions:
Cream together butter and lemon rind.
Add sugar alternately with remaining liquid, beating until frosting is creamy and of right consistency to spread.

*Makes enough to cover tops and sides of 3 nine inch layers.
