1 c. chopped dates
1½ c. brown sugar, divided
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
½ c. milk
¾ c. white sugar
1½ c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter
½ c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dates, 1 c. brown sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk together.
Pour into 9'X9"X2" baking dish.
Mix together (in the bowl the date mixture was mixed in) ½ c. brown sugar, white sugar, boiling water and butter.
Pour over batter.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake in 350º oven.
