1½ lb. vanilla wafers
½ c. oleo
1 c. sugar
3 eggs 1 c. crushed pineapple, well drained
1 c. chopped nuts
½ c. maraschino cherries, chopped
1 12 oz. container Cool Whip©

Directions:
Directions:
Roll the vanilla wafers with a rolling pin to a fine crumb.
Place half of the crumbs in bottom of 8"X12"X2" baking dish.
Cream together oleo and sugar.
Add eggs and cream well.
Combine pineapple, nuts, cherries and Cool Whip©.
Spread half of egg mixture over crumbs, then half of the fruit mixture.
Repeat with rest of eggs, then rest of the fruit mixture.
Cover with remainder of crumbs.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

I usually "fold" the egg mixture into the fruit mixture and just pour in all in at once!
