Old Fashioned Pumpkin Pie Recipe

1 1/2 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. skim milk
1 egg, beaten
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Unbaked pie shell in deep 10" or 2 9" pans

Combine all ingredients except the evaporated milk and skim milk. Mix these 9 ingredients well. Combine evaporated milk and skim milk and heat to scalding point; add to other ingredients and mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in 350 oven for 1 1/2 hours for deep 10" pie; about one hour for 9" pies. Pie is done when knife inserted near rim comes out clean.
