2 small loaves French bread
8 small to medium vine ripe tomatoes, sliced
fresh basil
hard salami, slice and cut each slice into 4 pieces
Havarti or mozzarella cheese
red onion, thinly sliced
Italian salad dressing (Ken's Italian with aged Romano)
butter
one clove garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Place tomato slices on large serving platter.
Top with, in order: whole basil leaf, salami, cheese slice, and onion slice
Shake dressing and pour over tomatoes.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator.
Just before serving, place butter in a cup, add crushed garlic, and melt in microwave for 1 minute,
Cut bread into thin slices and brush both sides with garlic butter.
Toast bread on both sides on a cookie sheet in the oven.
Put tomatoes on toast just before eating so it won't get soggy.
