½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
2 Tbsp butter
1½ Tbsp lemon juice
Few grains of nutmeg
Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and cornstarch and add boiling water, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add other ingredients.

Susy: This much used recipe was pretty splattered, so I think my mom used it a lot! It's great over cake or with fruit or ice cream. Warmed up, it's probably even delicious on pancakes and waffles!
