2 sticks butter (do not substitute margarine)
1 cup sugar
saltine crackers
12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips
nut pieces optional

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400º
2. Line cookie sheet with foil
3. Grease foil with butter
4. Lay crackers in single layer
5. melt butter and sugar - boil for 3 minutes (stir)
6. pour butter mixture over crackers, spread and bake for 5 minutes at 400º
7. sprinkle 12 oz bag choc chips over crackers - turn oven off
8. place pan back in oven for 2 minutes
9. remove pan and spread melted chips over top of crackers (sprinkle nut pieces optional)
10. place pan in refrig over night
11. remove pan and break crackers into pieces
