green tomatoes sliced 1/2 inch thick
squash, okra, peppers onions etc. sliced 1/4 inch thick

2 eggs,
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup corn meal
2 tsp Kosher salt
1/4 tsp
1 qt. oil

Choose tomatoes that are green and firm with just a hint of red. If they are too ripe the will be mushy.

Combine egg and milk
Combine flour and seasonings.
Combine cornmeal and bread crumbs
Coat veg in flour, then in egg mixture and then dredge in cornmeal mixture.

Shake off excess and fry in oil. Do not crowd veg. in fryer.

Drain on paper towels. Salt and pepper if needed.
