Peppermint Cookies Recipe

1 cup sour cream
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup butter
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 Tbsp ammonia
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp peppermint oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix above ingredients and add flour to make soft dough. Very soft so they are a little sticky to your fingers.

Put dough in bowl in fridge overnight, cover with saran then lid. Take pieces out to roll out ¼-½” thick*. Cut with cookie cutter. Put on cookie sheet.

Put a pie plate with water below cookie rack to help keep moisture in the cookie.
Bake at 350°F for approximately 10 minutes or so, must be watched closely. Should be slightly light golden brown on bottom.

*Make sure you flour surface before rolling out.


Icing
2 cups icing sugar
2 tsp butter
A little milk

Icing shouldn’t be too thin – ice cookies. Add colour to icing or shake sprinkles on top.
