6 eggs
1 cup sugar
¾ cup of flour
½ Crisco oil
2 tbsp corn starch
3 tsp baking powder

Directions:
This is the basic cake mix used for Oma’s famous Strawberry and Pineapple Cake.

In a large bowl, combine sugar, 2 whole eggs and 4 yolks and oil. Mix dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture, mix well with wooden spoon. Beat 4 egg whites and fold into mixture.

Pour mixture into greased large sized fluted/scalloped pan.

Bake at 330˚F for approximately ¾ hour (depending on size of pan – larger ¾ hr, ½ hour for smaller pan).
