1 TBSP BAKING POWDER
2 TSP SALT
2 TBSP POWDERED MILK
1 1/2 CUP WARM WATER
1 CUP SHORTENING

EXTRA FLOUR TO FLOUR HANDS

PUT FLOWER IN BOWL, ADD BAKING POWDER, SALT, POWDERED MILK.
MIX IN WARM WATER TO FORM DOUGH
COVER HANDS IN FLOUR
KNEAD DOUGH BY HAND UNTIL SOFT BUT NOT STICKY
COVER WITH CLOTH AND LET STAND FOR 15 MINUTES
SHAPE INTO BALLS ABOUT 2 INCHES AROUND THEN FLATTEN BY PATTING AND STRETCHING
MELT SHORTENING ABOUT AN INCE DEEP IN PAN
WHEN HOT PUT DOUGH IN AND FRY
FRY FIRST SIDE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN AND THEN FLIP TO FRY OTHER SIDE
